Media Release – BIOREACH Project Enhances Wildfire Response Capabilities in Trinidad and Tobago

The Environmental Management Authority (EMA) recently collaborated with the Food and
Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO-UN) to execute the third phase of the
Integrated Wildfire Management (IWM) training, aimed towards the development of an IWM
system under the GEF-BIOREACH project. The IWM training was supported by key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries – Forestry Division and GIS Unit, andthe Department of Natural Resources and Forestry – Tobago House of Assembly.
