As part of the “European Union-Caribbean Cooperation Facility” (EU-CCF) Project, the Environmental Management Authority (EMA) recently concluded a training initiative to enhance its capacity for environmental and social impact assessments, specifically in executing renewable (solar and wind) energy projects.
The EU-CCF Project, administered by the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP) Financial Service Provider (F.S.P.), promotes sustainable development across 16 Caribbean countries by building capacity in regional organizations such as the EMA. The aim of this project is to strengthen cooperation partnerships within the region: Green Pact; economic resilience and trade; governance, security and human development. These exchanges provide technical assistance, share relevant experiences from other countries, facilitate decision-making and management among public officers, offer training, promote South-South and triangular cooperation, and provide specialized consulting services.
