The Environmental Management Authority (EMA) recently hosted a stakeholder validation
workshop for the Global Environment Facility (GEF) project ‘National Reporting to the
United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).’
Under the UNCCD 2018–2030 Strategic Framework, country parties are required to
periodically report on the progress in achieving the strategic objectives through national
programmes aimed at mitigating and adapting to land degradation and drought. The project’s
primary objective is to collect and collate data for the compilation of the 2022 National Report
to the UNCCD.
