The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO-UN), and the Environmental Management Authority (EMA) through the project, Biodiversity Conservation and Agroecological Land Restoration in Productive Landscapes of Trinidad and Tobago (BIOREACH) recently facilitated five days of training. The training titled, ‘Land Management Mapping and Reporting’ builds the capacity of various land and natural resource management institutions to utilize open-source, remote sensing and cloud computing tools to monitor land degradation and wildfires.
