MEDIA RELEASE – The EMA hosts consultation on land degradation

The Environmental Management Authority (EMA) recently hosted a Stakeholder Consultation on the Global Environment Facility (GEF) project – National Reporting to the UNCCD. At this consultation with government agencies, the private sector, NGOs and CSOs, the importance of national reporting was highlighted. As stated by the UNCCD, national reporting is key to developing mechanisms to combat the crisis posed by the increasing rate of extinction of the world’s plant and animal species.
