MEDIA RELEASE – Expansion of Trinidad & Tobago’s Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Network

The Environmental Management Authority (EMA), in alignment with its legislative mandates, monitors ambient air quality in Trinidad and Tobago. This is facilitated through the national Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Network (AAQMN), which currently comprises four Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AAQMS). The EMA continues to expand the AAQMN with an additional AAQMS installed and commissioned in 2022 in Arima.
